WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform Meta owns, has rolled out a new feature allowing users to block spam directly from their lock screens. This update aims to combat the rising prevalence of spam messages and give users greater control over their messaging experience.
The new WhatsApp feature gives users a quick two-tap option to block any contacts who send them suspicious messages, such as phishing attempts, Ponzi schemes, or other scams. Using the new WhatsApp feature, you can now simply tap the Block option next to the Reply button in the quick actions' menu in the notification. And if you allow your notification to be visible on the lock screen, then blocking contacts is easier directly from the lock screen without opening the phone.
