Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, the world's highest-paid prime minister, is set to receive a major increase in his annual compensation, with his pay package expected to rise from S$2.2 million to S$3.6 million.

The revised package is equivalent to around Rs 26 crore a year, or about US$2.85 million. The increase of nearly 64% is part of Singapore's latest review of salaries for political office holders. The revised salary framework is scheduled to take effect from October 15, 2026.

Wong has also said that he will donate his salary increase to charity for the next five years, provided he remains in office.
