In a draconian and seemingly reckless move, officials of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) demolished a hostel for the visually impaired on December 15th.
According to the occupants, the hostel at Virendra Nagar in Delhi was demolished without prior warning. This has forced the visually impaired occupants to live on the roads in this biting cold weather.
The students are now protesting on the road against the government in addition to demanding employment and basic facilities. They have vowed that their protest will go on till their demands are met.
