Eminent Gujarati writer Bhagvatikumar Sharma passed away on 5th September, Wednesday morning at Surat at the age of 84. Writer of several popular novels including ‘Asuryalok’, ‘Urdhvamul’ and ‘Samaydwip’, Bhagvatikumar was also a very popular for his poems as well as essays. He edited one of the prominent of Surat ‘Gujarat Mitra’ for several years. He was awarded Ranjitram Suvarna Chandrak in 1984.
