The 66th National Film Awards were announced in New Delhi today by jury heads Rahul Rawail, AS Kanal and Utpal Bhorpujari. It was announced that over 400 films were submitted in the feature film category and 256 films were submitted in the non-feature category.

Hellaro, a Gujarati film, won the best feature film award and Reva won the Best Gujarati Film Award.

Hellaro was directed by Abhishek Shah and written by Prateek Gupta. This movie explores the theme of women empowerment. The film starred Shraddha Dangar, Jayesh More, Tejal Panchasra, Shailesh Prajapati, Maulik Nayak, Aarjav Trivedi, Tarjanee Bhadla, Brinda Nayak, Niilam Panchal, Kaushambi Bhatt, Swati Dave, Denisha Ghumra, Aakash Zala, Rajan Thakar, Kishan Gadhvi, Kamlesh Parmar, Sachi Joshi, Riddhi Yadav, Jagruti Thakore, Kamini Panchal, Ekta Bachwani
 

Reva was directed and written by Rahul Bhole and Vinit Kanojia and was produced by Paresh Vora. The film starred Chetan Dhanani, Monal Gajjar, Yateen Karyekar, Muni Jha, Daya Shankar Pandey, Abhinay Banker.

The plot of the film revolves around a 25-year-old NRI who lives an extravagant life but later in the journey when his grandfather passes away giving all his wealth to a charity, he sets out on a journey to reclaim his fortune.
