Blasts hit two churches in Sri Lanka on Sunday, including in the capital Colombo, as worshippers attended Easter services, police said. At least 80 people have been injured in the blasts, a hospital official said. The churches hit were in the north of the capital, and the town of Negombo, just outside Colombo.

"Eighty people have already been admitted, and more are still coming in," an official at the Colombo National Hospital told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Quoting police officials,  said that a blast had taken place in a church in Batticaloa. Explosions have also reportedly taken place inside two five-star hotels in the city - Shangri La and Cinamon Grand.
