Sensex was up 223.51 points or 0.69% at 32424.10, and the Nifty was up 90.20 points or 0.95% at 9580.30. About 1390 shares have advanced, 924 shares declined, and 159 shares are unchanged. IOC, Coal India, Wipro, ONGC and Gail were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Infosys, Adani Ports, TCS, Axis Bank and Bharti Airtel. Among sectors, except IT other indices ended in the green. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose between 1-2 percent.
