Sensex was up 429.25 points or 1.21% at 35843.70, and the Nifty was up 121.70 points or 1.17% at 10551.70. About 1683 shares have advanced, 1039 shares declined, and 125 shares are unchanged. M&M, Hero MotoCorp, Titan Company, Tata Steel and Infosys were top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Axis Bank, Vedanta, HUL, Zee Entertainment and UPL. Except marginal losses in Nifty Bank all other sectoral indices ended in the green, while BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose 1 percent each.
