Hindalco Industries, SBI, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel and HDFC were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Bharti Infratel, Coal India, Tech Mahindra, ONGC and Hero MotoCorp. Except FMCG, other sectoral indices ended in the green. BSE Midcap and Smallcap ended with marginal gains.
