A Kerala nurse working at a hospital in Saudi Arabia is the first person from India to be diagnosed with coronavirus, which is prevalent in China and has killed 17 people so far. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan confirmed the news on Thursday evening saying, "About 100 Indian nurses mostly from Kerala working at Al-Hayat Hospital have been tested and none except one nurse was found infected by coronavirus." He also informed that the affected nurse is being treated at Aseer National Hospital in Saudi Arabia and is recovering well.
