Gujarat reported yet another highest single-day spike of 902 new coronavirus cases on Monday, taking the tally to 42,808, the state health department said. With the death of 10 more COVID-19 patients, the fatalities rose to 2,057, it said.The number of recovered cases rose to 29,806 with 608 more patients getting discharged on Monday, the health department said in a release. The state now has 10,945 active cases, with the condition of 74 patients being critical, it said.
Of these fresh cases, Ahmedabad reported 164 more positive patients in the last 24 hours, total coronavirus cases reaches 23,259. The death toll also rose by 1523 after 3 of the new 10 deaths from the state were recorded in Ahmedabad.
