Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday demanded resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah for failing to control the situation in Delhi. she said that the Central government and Home Ministry are responsible for the loss of lives in the national capital. She also blamed the provocative remarks made by BJP leaders for the unrest. She alleged that there is a conspiracy behind the violence and the country also saw this during Delhi elections. “Many BJP leaders made inciting comments creating an atmosphere of fear and hatred,” she said. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the city police was unable to control the situation in the national capital and Army should be deployed. “I have been in touch wid large no of people whole nite. Situation alarming. Police, despite all its efforts, unable to control situation and instil confidence. Army shud be called in and curfew imposed in rest of affected areas immediately.
