A special CBI court here on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to former BJP MP Dinu Bogha Solankiand six others for the murder of RTI activist Amit Jethava in July 2010.
After holding seven persons guilty of murder and criminal conspiracy on July 6, CBI judge K M Dave sentenced them to life terms in jail. The court also imposed fines totalling Rs 60 lakh on the seven convicts, with Solanki and his nephew Pratap alias Shiva Solanki ordered to pay Rs 15 lakh each.
