Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee on Monday lashed out at the Centre after his wife Rujira Narula Banerjee and children were stopped from boarding a Dubai-bound flight at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata earlier in the day.

Reacting to the incident, Abhishek Banerjee said, "I openly say to Modi, your fight is against me politically, not against my wife, my 9-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. Fight me politically. If you think by doing this, I will bow my head. You are wrong."

Targeting central probe agencies, he said, "Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksy and people like them have sucked money out of the poor and ED, CBI could not do anything, as they are only used to harass Opposition. Adani is eating away at the State Bank of India and Life Insurance Company's money. Do you see any inquiry?"
