Mahendra Dhanabhai Bhati, a slum boy in Gandhinagar has proved that grit pays off in the long run, and picked up a gold medal for his efforts. Mahendra students of Maharshi Atri School won gold medal in the National level Taekwondo competition which was held in Jundagadh.  Biren Padhya founder of Slumshine organisation helps slum students to achieve their goal. Their mission is to work on the root causes of changing the minds and motivate the people of the slum community. By this movement, they want that every slum people take proper education for themselves and stand tall with a rapidly growing society.
