The travel ban imposed on tourists travelling to Jammu and Kashmir has been lifted with effect from October 10, 2019, almost two months after it was issued. Jammu and Kashmir will now be opened for tourists like before. In an order dated October 9, Jammu and Kashmir's Home Department lifted the travel advisory in the state following Governor Satya Pal Malik's instructions earlier this week. "The tourists desirous of undertaking visiting to the state shall be provided all necessary assistance and logistical support," the order says.
