The CM Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has decided to install a 251-metre-tall statue of Lord Ram on the banks of river Saryu in Ayodhya. This statue of Lord Ram, which would be taller than the Sardar Patel Statue of Unity in Gujarat, will be the tallest statue in the world.

Adityanath has said that a plan should be prepared for overall development of Ayodhya, too. "There should be arrangements for basic tourist facilities along with the digital museum, interpretation centre, library, parking, food plaza, landscaping based on the theme of Lord Shri Ram," he stated.

Cost:

According to sources in Uttar Pradesh government, the total cost of the project will be Rs 2500 crore and it will be spent in three phases.

This Lord Ram statue complex will have following features:

1. Ram Kutia (Cottage)

2. Vegetarian (Satvic) Restaurant

3. Rest house

4. Big hotels

5. Ram Leela ground

6. Gurukul

7. Saryu Ghat

8. Auditorium

9. Banvaas (garden)

10. Parking

11. Gaushala

12. Hospital for the treatment of monkeys

13. Vedic Library

14. Service road

15. Pedestal Plaza
