Remona Everett Pereira, a student from St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru, has made headlines after entering the Golden Book of World Records for performing Bharatanatyam continuously for 170 hours.
Over the course of eight days, Remona danced non-stop, taking only a five-minute break every hour. The performance commenced with a prayer to Lord Ganesha on July 21 at the institution’s auditorium and concluded on July 28 with a ballet and final prayer to Goddess Durga. Throughout the performance, she was allowed a 15-minute break after every three hours. Despite the demanding schedule, Remona remained poised and expressive, showcasing exceptional skill in movement, expressions, and gestures.
