Pakistan's Information and Broadcasting Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has recommended Khan's name for the Nobel Peace Prize “for his contribution towards peace in the region”. Hussain submitted resolution stated that Khan,  “played a sagacious role in de-escalating tension between Pakistan and India”. The resolution is expected to be taken up on Monday when it is scheduled to convene its session. It is also expected to be passed as the government has a majority in the House but it will be interesting to see if main opposition parties support the move.
