At least seven people were killed and 70 others injured, including children, in a blast at a seminary in capital city Peshawar of Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, local media reported. Those injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital and are being provided with immediate medical attention. The death toll is expected to rise as several of the wounded and hospital authorities feared the death toll could climb further. The bombing happened while a cleric was delivering a lecture about the teachings of Islam at the main hall of the Jamia Zubairia madrassa, said police officer Waqar Azim. He further said that initial investigations suggest the bomb went off minutes after someone left a bag at the madrassa.
