BJP MP Udit Raj, in a pinned tweet on Tuesday morning, threatened to say "goodbye to the party" if he was not picked as a candidate for the Lok Sabha elections 2019. Udit Raj was the BJP parliamentarian from North West Delhi constituency. The party had filed singer Hans Raj Hans to contest from North West Delhi Lok Sabha seat.
Taking to Twitter, Raj said, "I am waiting for a ticket if not given to me I will do goodbye to party," he tweeted this morning as people across the country voted in the third phase of the national election. "... I hope I will not be forced to leave BJP by BJP itself."
In the 2014 general election, Raj defeated the Aam Aadmi Party's Rakhi Birla by over 1 lakh votes in North West Delhi constituency.
