In the past few months, several smartphones from Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Nokia and others have received price cuts of up to Rs 20,000-plus. Many of these smartphones are top-end devices, while some are popular mid-range that have become good buy post the price cut.


This is surely can be termed as one of the best offers you can avail on the latest-generation iPhone, iPhone XR. As part of a limited period offer, iPhone XR has recieved a price drop of Rs 23,500. Launched in October 2017 at Rs 76,900 onwards, it can now be purchased at Rs 53,400. The smartphone runs on Apple's latest processor A12 and is water and splash resistant. It features FaceID. There’s a single 12MP camera at the back whereas for selfies there’s a 7MP sensor at the front.


Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8 in 2017. The smartphone got its first price of Rs 12,000 last year and recently got another price drop of Rs 13,000. After the second price cut the customers can purchase the smartphone for Rs 42,900. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display and runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. It is powered by company's own Exynos 8895 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM.

Samsung's last year's flagship smartphone Galaxy S9+ has got a price cut of Rs 7,000. Launched at Rs 64,900, the smartphone can now be purchased at Rs 57,900 onwards. The device is powered by company's own Exynos 9810 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. It comes in three storage variants -- 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. The smartphone comes with dual rear camera setup and is backed by a 3,500 mAh battery.

Along with the Samsung Galaxy S9+, the company has also slashed the price of Galaxy S9. Launched at Rs 57,900, it is now selling at a starting price of 48,900 after price drop of Rs 9,000. The device packs 4GB of RAM and comes in two storage variants -- 64GB and 256GB. It sports a Super Speed Dual Pixel 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter for selfie.


Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has reduced the price of its mid-range smartphone, Oppo F9 Pro, by Rs 2,000. Buyers can purchase the handset for Rs 17,990 post the price cut. Oppo F9 Pro sports a 6.3-inch screen of FHD+ resolution and offers selfie camera of 25MP with realtime HDR support. Powered by MediaTek processor, the smartphone packs 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.


Vivo's first pop-up selfie camera -- Vivo Nex -- too received a price cut this year. Launched at Rs 44,990, the handset is cheaper by Rs 5,000 and is now available at Rs 39,990. Vivo Nex runs on FunTouch OS v4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and sports an 8MP popup selfie camera. The Vivo V11 Pro, which was launched at Rs 25,990, has got a price cut of Rs 2,000 and is now selling at Rs 23,990. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and features a 6.3-inch full HD+ display. The device offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card. The highlight of the smartphone is its 25MP selfie camera.


Xiaomi's Android One smartphone -- Mi A2 also got a price cut recently. The Chinese smartphone maker launched Mi A2 at Rs 13,999 and it is now selling at Rs 11,999 after the price cut of Rs 2,000. The Xiaomi Mi A2 offers a selfie camera of 20MP, with AI beauty 4.0. On the back, the dual camera setup boasts of Artificial Intelligence-support featuring 20MP primary sensor a 12MP secondary sensor.


Nokia 6.1 Plus with 6GB RAM has received a price cut of Rs 1,500. Launched at Rs 18,499, buyers can now purchase the smartphone at Rs 16,999. The device features a 5.8-inch screen and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. It offers a dual-rear camera and a 16MP front camera for selfies. The Nokia 3.1 Plus got a price cut of Rs 1,500. Launched at Rs 11,499 the smartphone is now available at Rs 9,999.
