The United Nations Security Council 1267 sanctions committee has given approval for monthly “basic expenses” of Rs 1.5 lakh to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks conspirator and LeT commander Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi, a move that could leave India fuming. Lakhvi, the operations commander of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, was designated as a global terrorist by the UN under the United Nations Security Council Resolution in 2008 after the Mumbai attacks.
