In a case that reminds us of the one in Badaun in 2014, where two minor cousins were found hanging from a mango tree, the bodies of two sisters were found in a similar manner outside their house in Noida’s Baraula on Tuesday. The bodies of the two girls, aged 18 and 14, was first spotted by their neighbours following which they alerted the police.
A police team reached the house of the girls in Sector 49 and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Noida SP Arun Kumar Singh said prima facie no injury marks were found on the bodies of the girls, even though he claimed all possible angles, including murder, would be probed. “In the initial investigation, it looks like a case of suicide. Besides a mark from the noose, no other injury marks can be seen on the bodies of both girls,” PTI quoted Singh as saying.
