A complaint has been lodged in the Godhra Sessions Court against a retired deputy executive engineer living in Godhra under assets in excess of income. A retired engineer named Chunilal Dharasiani owns about 400 properties in Godhra alone. Its market value is around Rs 600 crore. An investigation into the value of the property against income throughout the tenure is likely to uncover a huge amount of corruption, it has been submitted. 
A plaintiff named Viralgiri Goswami has filed an application in Godhra Sessions Court. The complaint states that Chunilal  Dharasiyani has amassed assets from disproportionate income during his government job. The complaint alleges that millions of rupees have been embezzled from construction of roads, underbridges and other works. 90 plots have been purchased in Godhra to squander this money, which needs to be investigated.
