A leading Indian food delivery app Zomato claimed that 72 per cent of their Cash on Delivery (COD) orders have been paid in Rs 2000 notes since Friday. It tweeted, “Since Friday, 72% of our cash on delivery orders were paid in ₹2000 notes.”
After the RBI move, markets and petrol pumps across the country are witnessing huge rush of people trying to spend money.
Meanwhile, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das on Monday said that most of the demonetised Rs 2,000 notes are expected to come back by the September 30 deadline.
