Come 2018, and the world's most popular app WhatsApp will stop working for a number of smartphone users. Like last year, this year too the Facebook-owned instant messaging app is ending updates for a number of older platforms. "Because we will no longer actively develop for these platforms, some features may stop functioning at any time," said the company on its blog post while announcing end-of-life dates. This means that users with smartphones running on OSes named by WhatsApp should consider upgrading to new phones to access the instant messaging app properly.  The are -  BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone 8.0, Nokia S40, Android versions 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) etc.
